Oh my God, they are so cute!!!! Puppies are the best! I have a 4 month old cavalier king charles spaniel, it is so much fun!!!
Keep us posted with your babies, what are their names?
So darned sweet...
Your puppy pictures are just adorable. His legs are already 'taller' than my Yorkie, lol.
Thanks for the ping HOTD!
I only get one of the puppies :(
His name is Sonny, Jake is on my homepage.
Ahh I see. Great names, great pups. Makes me want a poodle with that haircut! Adorable!
Wish you lived closer to Chicago- I'd invite you to our puppy playgroup :)
Wow! How adorable! Jake and Sonny will be in cahoots before you know it.
Cute. I don't know why people don't like standard poodles. They're really cool (and smart!) dogs. I always wonder why anyone wants to *mix* them with other breeds instead of just getting a standard poodle. I think because they think oodle makes a cute suffix.
Good luck with your new baby!

They started mixing Standard Poodles for their great qualities. Mostly I think for the hair, Poodles don't shed and people allergic to dander can own them. They are rated either 1 or 2 in intelligence depending where you look, they are easily trainable and have a great disposition and love people which makes them great working dogs too, I would like to make the little guy a therapy dog.
great dogs - great pix Bob
Unfortunately, first generation mixes don't always get the best qualities of each breed, so you can easily not get the poodle coat (which is what most people want). As I said, I don't understand why they don't just get a poodle instead of paying a crazy price for what is, essentially, a mixed breed.
Silly people...
Enjoy your puppy!

I think if more people just gave their Poodles haircuts like my big guy on my homepage a LOT more people would have them. I know I was hesitant at first, all I could think of was me walking a prissy dog and everyone laughing at me and thinking I was a "swish".
I forgot to tell you I like your homepage even though I'm not too keen on touching a snake or being that close to a crocodile.
I'm going to spend the day at the American Museum Of Natural History tomorrow, I haven't been there since a class trip when I was a little guy. I'm very excited.
LOL (to the swish comment). I'm sure that's the problem with people (especially men) and poodles, but in a puppy cut they look like regular dogs. I do love the old fashioned poodle cut, which was not so pom pomy, and had a beard. Very cool.

Wonderful!!
What an absolutely beautiful dog.
So adorable, and I'm glad you named him "Sonny". It fits. :-) You will have quite a day Sunday with the new puppy AND Super Bowl! Enjoy.
Standard poodles are pretty cool dogs, from what I hear. Sturdy, brave and smart.
Good luck with your new pup, he's absolutely adorable.
So cute! Know you're going to enjoy each other.
Standards, mini's and toys are very different, the other ones are smart and good dogs but the Standard is the "Standard" that poodles are judged by.
Just promise me, you won't shave him in that weird sort of nerf ball, pom pom on the tail cut. ;-)
