Whayt kind of movies do you and your wife like?

Get Team America (but I'm assuming you already saw that)

Instead of movies, how about renting old classic tv shows? I'm having a ball visiting with Dr. Bob Hartley in Chicago on The Bob Newhart Show

Visiting Andy Taylor, Aunt Bea, Opie, Floyd the Barber, Barney fife, etc in Mayberry on The Andy Griffith Show.

Visting with Gomer Pyle and Sargeant Carter on their Marine base.

Visting with the maid Hazel in the Baxter residence where she works and lives.

Visiting the teenaged female surfer Gidget in Southern California

And Visiting with a certain Flying Nun in Puerto Rico

Visiting with Col. Hogan at Stalag 13

Visting with "That Girl", Ann Marie, in New York City

Visiting With Groucho Marx on the set of his his game show: You Bet Your Life

Visting with Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver, his brother Wally, their parents Ward and June, and not to mention old Eddie Haskell in the suburban town of Mayfield.

And also:

Edward R. Murrow - The Best of Person to Person

The Dick Cavett Show - Comic Legends

The Dick Cavett Show - Hollywood Greats

That is a good one. My husband and I have really enjoyed all the old Alfred Hitchcock movies, now those are thrillers.

Although it's creepy, Psycho was a work of art. I'm a photographer and love the old black and white lighting. Yusef Karsch was a master at it.

Brazil-The Criterion Collection Edition, fantastic, anti-big government, terrorists, rebel heating and air conditioner repairman (DeNiro) working on the lam because he doesn't want to fill out the government paperwork, you can watch it 20 times and find something different each time. Great Black Comedy.

JFK, YES, JFK, this is coming from someone who is convinced Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy, This film is unintentionally one of the GREATEST BLACK COMEDIES ever made. Stone loses his mind on this one and implicates EVERYONE! Every conspiracy theory in the world is intermingled, the performances are magnificent, Joe Pesci, Tommy Lee Jones, John Candy, and Kevin Bacon are standouts.

The Manchurian Candidate - The original, blows away the remake.

The Dead Zone with Christopher Walken, best Stephen King movie adaptation. Prophecy is another great Walken flick.

Seven -Great horror, serial killer flick.

Total Recall- Great fun action flick

Barry Lyndon-Great Kubrick film, trust me on this one.

I've got a ton of others but that's a nice starter. Just about any Clint Eastwood movie, westerns and action flicks.

Mel Gibson, Braveheart, The Patriot, Conspiracy Theory

Gladiator is a good one along the braveheart lines, Spartacus is the original "gladiator", get the Criterion Collection one for the full movie.

Ben Hur too

True Romance is very good and has a GREAT scene with Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper, it's worth it for just that scene.

How can I forget one of my other Black Comedy and all time favorites.

THE KING OF COMEDY-Twisted Black Comedy with a delusional DeNiro who stalks Jerry Lewis playing a Johnny Carson character, Sandra Bernhardt is also a stalker, great, great, great movie.

"Master and Commander": beautiful acting, beautiful cinematography and special effects, quite moving in many places. An excellent study of male character and psychology. And lots of great action.

I had forgotten about "The Manchurian Candidate." The original is a must-see in today's world. The remake was nonsense.

Lord Alfred Hitchcock's films. All of them but particularly the quartet of Vertigo The Birds Psycho and Marnie. The older ones: Notorious, Shadow of a Doubt and don't forget Rebecca..I could go on

Then Kubrick: most of them: The Shining; Spartacus; Barry Lyndon

Then Orson Welles: The Magnificent Ambersons yes...Citizen Kane and Touch of Evil. WOW!

Just a starter list.
