manifesto a double entendre, both the Unabombers expression of thoughts and ideas and the vehicle which led to his brother's and our awarness of who he was:
the manifesto came out in 1995 and he was arrested in early 1996 just as the internet was really hitting the mainstream
what are the subversive psycho-dynamics of the Unamomber?
that words have impact?
how many people post anonymously and then worry about their own Unabomb coming back to haunt them?
could the government have set the Unabomber up for his own fall? did they kill two birds with one stone?
did they hyperbolize the anti-technology ramblings of the Unabomber to paint any questioning of technology as absurd?
and at the same time send a subliminal but very real mnemonic device to the masses to censor themselves while contributing to the universal code of the global internet?
