January 30, 2007, Tuesday, FULMINATE

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Tomorrow I’m bringing in chains, so beware.

The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. I’m just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words “as if” can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.

FULMINATE

Pronunciation: ful-mi-‘nate

Inflected Form(s): -nat·ed; -nat·ing

Don't add salt to your concoction of mercury, especially with salt. You'll have a real nice KABOOM in bed.

WHile 42 is the answer, '24' is the entertainment. I have no idea what happened in Jack Bauer's world last night.

Good Morning!

The liberal mainstream media continues to fulminate against the Bush administration, as if our disciplining of inattentive Republicans were a vindication of their seditious and short-sighted historical perspective.

They act like the dog getting aggressive with the cat when you try to scold it.

They do recaps (heavy on the snark). Don't say anything, I've got it on my DVR and will watch it tonight.

Code Pinko's fulminations Sunday against the Iraq war brought forth laughs of derision from many a talk show host on Monday as they kept playing the Pinko lady screaming "women say pull out now".

Luckily all talkshow hosts survived without getting any FCC violations.

It was good to see JimRob put some of those dullards in their place. I loved it when the one clown who posted the white robes comment accused the others of "reading between the lines" or making it up and JimRob threw it right back in his face with a link to the original comment and said "no reading between the lines here".

i looked back at the results on the FR poll question about a rudy candidacy and was surprised to see that he didn't do all that well, since i was led to believe on those threads that he was a shoo-in and that More and more and MORE conservatives are jumping on his bandwagon every day. funny that.
