A 20-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder for a shooting last year, which police say was the result of a dispute over who got to sit in the front seat of a car. Porter Webb is being held at the Hennepin County jail on unrelated charges. On March 1, 2006, Minneapolis police responded to an area near 33rd Avenue and Emerson Avenue North. Witnesses reported seeing three men leaving a body there. Officers found 42-year-old Thyrone Carr, who had been killed by a gunshot that severed his aorta.

Back in 1971, in the "Vermont" area of s/w L.A. (near where Reginald Denny got his head caved in at the beginning of the Rodney King Riots), we were hunting for a 10year old who'd stabbed his best friend to death for a record album. There are some in our nation that have unique values instilled in them.
Very sad. In the case of a 10-year-old, I'd argue for indicting the parent(s) or guardian(s) for custodial negligence resulting in the death of another (if such a charge were possible).
I never had this problem with my motorcycle.
I dealt with an 8 year old whose mother told him to carry one of her steak knifes to school in case anybody "messed" with him. She didn't bother to explain what "messed" with was or meant. I took his knife away.
One life ended and another life wasted just because of a dispute over who would sit in the front seat? Back in the day, we would settle these conflicts with “rock, paper, scissors” and move on … no hard feelings. Death was never an option.
Guess in today’s world of “Gangsta’” mentality, we would have been labeled wimps. So be it, most of the members of my old group are dying of old age not terminated early from gunshot wounds.
