but to be honest, I don't even consider that clay crap to be a proper surfaceYeh, but take it from me ....... playing on clay is easy on the kness.

Could you please add a couple of words to the title so that it reads: Who is the More Dominant Performer? - (Federer or Woods) ................. I saw the title and thought this was another Mac/PC thread. :-)
LOL
I've asked for that change twice I think, and it hasn't been changed.
I thought the addition ("Federer or Woods") would make the thread clearer.
And if FReepers were searching for a thread on Federer or Woods after their accomplishments this weekend, they'd find this one. Oh well...... all you can do is ask.

I grew up with a tennis court in my back yardNow I'm real jealous. I had to sneak into the private courts her at Chatham College in Pittsburgh back in the 60's.

Comparing a golfer to a tennis player is silly. Their sports are not even remotely similar. They're both the masters of their sport. The end.

It's really hard to win tournaments when you are playing a series of head-to-head matches. 1 bad day, or 1 opponent who's game is made to beat you, and you're out. Tiger often survives a bad round to win a tournament. Wow.... great point.

Is there really anybody else in tennis or golf right now who is even close to these guys? Not really. Seems like in past eras there was always rivalries that athletes like Jack Nicklaus, Bjorn Borg, etc...had to contend with.Good point... and it goes to just how incredible these two are now!
If Tiger and Federer are on their game you can hand them the trophy in any event.
Yep.

And the craziest was ten years later in 1996 when Greg Norman gave his Green Jacket away.

Wouldn't it be great if FR had an edit function so we could go back and correct our own grammar or spellings that don't get caught in 'preview'? LOL.......... and yes.
But as Steven Wright says, "you can't have everything ........... where would you put it?"

Tiger and Federer have huge mental advantages over their competition. Seems like if they are on their game everyone else is playing for second, knows that, and are ok with it.
Let's not hang the "best ever" tag on either one of them YET though...they have plenty of milestones yet to reach to earn that and it's gonna be really fun to watch. Nobody knows how long they are going to be able to keep this up though and whether or not there's someone out there who can steal some glory from them.
I remember it wasn't long ago that people were saying Pete Sampras was the "best ever" in tennis. Now it's like the Sampras era never even happened. Let's all calm down just a bit and let Federer do his thing and earn the accolades.
Even he says that's how he wants it.

I never had to worry about those parts, but my knees ............ ouch!
You should see me walk now (I'm 60). I walk like Fred Sanford.

Yes ....... and we will enjoy watching.

I can't tell you how great it is to see such brilliant performances and mental toughness in athletes.
These two are unreal........ almost other-worldly.
