Is there really anybody else in tennis or golf right now who is even close to these guys? Not really. Seems like in past eras there was always rivalries that athletes like Jack Nicklaus, Bjorn Borg, etc...had to contend with.

Tiger and Federer have huge mental advantages over their competition. Seems like if they are on their game everyone else is playing for second, knows that, and are ok with it.

Let's not hang the "best ever" tag on either one of them YET though...they have plenty of milestones yet to reach to earn that and it's gonna be really fun to watch. Nobody knows how long they are going to be able to keep this up though and whether or not there's someone out there who can steal some glory from them.

I remember it wasn't long ago that people were saying Pete Sampras was the "best ever" in tennis. Now it's like the Sampras era never even happened. Let's all calm down just a bit and let Federer do his thing and earn the accolades.

Even he says that's how he wants it.
