This kid is on a collision course with Greatest Male Singles Tennis player of all time. He's only 25 and has 10 Grand Slam titles under his belt. He is only 5 away from besting Pete Sampras's all time high of 14.

Once every 10 years or so a kid comes along that raises the bar and dominates the game. Names like Björn Borg, John MacEnroe, Pete Sampras and Steffi Graf come to mind. Steffi will go down in history as the greatest female tennis player of all time, a title she more than earned.

What ever happened to Gustavo "Guga" Kuerten?
Not one the best of all-time but he was one of my all-time favorites to watch play on clay.
Guga was entertaining to watch in the finals of the French Open and ultimately ended up win three Championships there.

Steffi also had a certain finesse on the court that can't be taught at a Nick Bollettieri tennis camp.

Why don't they play the men's finals in the afternoon as they used to and why isn't it broadcast in HD?

I think if Monica Seles didn't get stabbed, Steffi would have fewer Grand Slam titles.

Perhaps but throughout her career Steffi never had a losing head to head record against Seles.

I love watching grand slam tennis; my favorites are in this order:
U.S. Open (hardcourt)
Wimbledon (grass)
French Open (clay)
Australian Open (hardcourt)

Congratulations. Roger! What a wonderful match...Rafi pushed him to the limit and he responded like the champion he is. Great stuff.
