Officially, I'm not looking for work right now. I was referring to the 90's when I spent a seven month period in 1994 and 1995 and another six or seven month period in 1999 looking for work. I sent several hundred letters during that time, and I received about 200 rejection letters. I've been fighting with my employer over pension benefits for six months. That issue seems to be resolving, but I'm not sure yet how it will resolve. I may make a few discrete calls to headhunters to see whether I could do better somewhere else. I'm not officially on the market right now, but I'm at a point where I wonder whether I shouldn't spend the rest of my career with my hand on the market's pulse a little better.

I have been doing this on and off since May! I worked for a temp agency for 2 months, and the company that I was lent out to let me go because I knew too much! (Management made some bad errors and were blaming the temps for it and the loss of a huge account because of it.)
From there I worked as ascheduler on a political campaign...but the election ended that.
I was in another place in Iowa for 2 months...they let me go for voicing in an email that I felt my work ethic was being attacked. I was being told to NOT do so much!!
So...here I am...signed with a couple temp agencies, and looking again.
moral of the story, keep my mouth shut!? Maybe I was getting too much positive input from the clients I was working with! Truly, I was getting it from the clients, and they would give the same feedback to others who took their calls.
I am weary of it, but still plugging along. What was funny is one place sent me 3 rejection letters! I think I got the point!LOL
I don't wish unemployment on anyone. Add to the fun I was $300 short in one quarter and so I don't qualify for unemployment!! LOL
God definitely has me walking and living by faith, one day at time, one step at a time!
praying for a GOOD resolution to your issue.
