Hey Dolly! I've awakened from a very bad cold/flu/sinus infection to interject about your question(s).
So I get responses from many women my age (early to mid 20s) that they "aren't really serious about dating, I'm just working on my career".
Yeah, one of "those".
Just thought I'd get some comments on this, because it's becoming rather commonplace with my generation (what I like to call "Gen X's Little Brother". :) ).

Hi there.. I saw your post earlier but thought I would wait for others to "jump in there"
crickets
Well, my take is that if they say they want career/education etc.. believe them & trust them.
and
move on
The women's movement/ has provided some very good things but the downside IMHO is that women don't see as their God given blessing as the opportunity to be a wonderful wife, mom, and MAYBE professional along the way.
Society has TOLD them w/o education/career you are CRAP
well, my opinion is that, that is crap.
I have a good, dear friend who gave up her career 15 years ago to be a mom. She has 3 kids.. ages 5-15. She drives them to soccer, tennis, choir, etc..
what did she give up?
A medical career as one of the top breast cancer specialists in the USA
Does she ever regret it? Of course, Kids are thankless BRATS at best & hers are typical.. BUT she knows she is doing the right thing. Well, she is married to a top notch thoracic surgeon, so they are NOT hurting financially..
but GOP_Raider.. my point is that women will be of various dispositions depending on the "filters" of their life. They will sometimes need to PROVE themselves. Be the first to do "whatever" in the family.. etc.
If you want a woman NOT like that, move on.
There are a wealth of great women of all ages/stages here at FR... we need to get more of them at the singles thread so we can all "share the wealth".. same for good men who are single, available & interested,
