OMG they shot the woman's dog?
"Pit Bull attacks".
Yawn.
So what else is new?
What PI$$E$ me off about this is not three days ago I saw some officer refuse to shoot a turkey and got trapped in his car and called for backup. A wild turkey? No shot! A woman's dog? Blow it away, Charlie!
I'd have gone to jail for assault that day.
Luckily, when they finally did get out - they only dismembered a neighbors cat. That was it - we had them evicted from the neighborhood. The dogs should have been put away, period!
Here's hoping the remains of the first pit bull will lead police to the miscreant owner.
Oh, wait, here come the pit bull apologists to post defenses of this pit-iful breed and their testosterone-deficient owners ...
Can't someone find an article about a dog shooting a police officer?
Where's the popcorn?
Post # 3 is already zotted.
Hee hee.
I just loooooves pit bull threads!
Pit Bulls bite? I did not know that...............
I think they may have shot the second pit bull and not the woman's dog. This article is so poorly written that you can't be sure which dog was shot. It is obvious that the combination of publik skool educated reporters and editors has caused a catastrophe in the newspaper biz. Reporters often omit to ask obvious and important questions when they interview subjects. Then they go back to the office and write unclear, ambiguous, and stupid articles that their editors happily approve.
Oooh oooh oooh ... if you link the last 2 messages with WA state as a common denominator ... you have Lawmaker Wants Pup-Friendly Pubs http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1773036/posts and this thread ... laughin my arse off here at the sense of humor God has.
Yes, it is poorly written, but
NO, they shot the German Shepherd, and found the other pit bull later.
I have to agree that these articles keep repeating themselves. What makes them not yawners IMO is if that dog or dogs attacked one of my kids or grandkids.
I love a happy ending...
To give everyone a little bit more insight into this particular story, the location in question, (62nd and McKinley), is one of the worst neighborhoods in Tacoma. Dogs running loose around there are the norm and most of the dogs I see therabouts are pitbulls.
Well, the headline "Police oficer shoots 'Two Dogs'" ...
I thought maybe ...
Oh never mind.
Thanks for the input. It sounds like the city better put their animal control person or persons to work there.
If it has teeth, it bites. Bank on it.
