That's ridiculous... Steve Jobs is just going to announce that he's hired me to dispel anonymous rumors. ;-)
Nah, it sounds good. Apple has held events like this in February before, if I recall correctly, and they have usually been significant.

I have one question for Apple about the iPhone:
It runs OSX and has an Internet connection, but instead of having iTunes built in, you run iTunes on a separate computer, download your music, then plug the iPhone into the computer running iTunes and sync it?
That was an absolute no-brainer which would have made the iPhone really unique.
As it ends up, it is a clunky phone or a storage crippled iPod with a big screen. But it has a really cool interface.

We have just gotten an anonymous tip from a source that indicates that Apple is planning a special event on February 20 to introduce Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), iLife 07 and iWork 07 as well as updated Mac Pros. Mac Pros will be available immediately with a free upgrade to 10.5 when it ships, and the ship date for 10.5 will be confirmed for 3/24/07 as we have been predicting for quite some time now.
Finally Power Mac with two Xeon Processors, each containing two dual core processors. (The "Cloverton" Quad Cores are basically two "Woodcrests" stuck together sharing the same 1333 mhz frontside bus. I hope that Nvidea and AMD will update their Video cards.

Or perhaps a 12" ultra-portable Mac Book Pro? The wife-unit would get one of those in a heartbeat.

Hmm, I've been thinking about getting another MacBook. I'm not sure if I should wait.Typically I wait for the releases to mature. I would be very interested in iWeb 07. iWeb 06 is really a pretty basic tool.

So is this not happening? Seems like there would be a little more in the news about it by now, or on the Apple site.
