If you had to become an ex-patriate, where would you go?

If you were to live outside of the US, what country would you pick to be an ex-pat in? Why?

My wife watched the CNN video of Hillary the other night. When it finished, she commented that H was the most insincere person she had ever seen (wife is not particularly political). So she said, if H becomes pres we are moving to another country. I replied that doing that would put us in the same class as the moonbats who wanted to leave when W became President. But it got me thinking: where would a conservative be able to move to in today's world where living would be better than being in a country where H (or similar) is President?

I lived as an expat in a foreign land (Vermont)...too many atheists and lesbians but the countryside is wonderful.

I would have a tremendous urge to stay here and catalogue the abuse of power that would follow a Hillary inaugural.

I'm surprised to see an African country. I would have expected that the typical volatility of African governments (and their dictatorship or marxist leanings) would dissuade anyone from considering any place in Africa. Is that the case for much of NW Africa, or only Senegal?

Too funny! I feel the same way about Maryland. I couldn't wait to move from there.

I hear you on that. I keep waiting and hoping that New England will go back to its conservative Yankee roots. Maybe someday.

I've got a friend in Australia. I could go for that were it not for their rabid anti-gun nuttery.

Australia, New Zealand or Argentina. The last one doesn't have a lot in common with the first two (or the US) politically but it does have great cheap steaks and smoking hot women. As a 23 year old male, I really don't need much else. Except for beer I guess.

Those would be my choices, too.
I would add, where individual initiative and rugged individualism are still considered desirable qualities.

And the slackers are barely tolerated.

Japan, where I actually lived the entire time Der Schlickmeister was president. Nice people, polite and safe, much like America was a generation or so ago. Taxes at all levels never took more than about 20% of what I earned.

I'm originally from Belize, I may just have to visit my family more often. Funny, how of all the places, you chose Belize.
FYI
Hopefully, Belizeans will be voting out Musa in the next elections.
