Instead of watching it this season, you really ought to think about starting from the beginning on DVD. That's how I did it. This is the first season that I am actually watching the shows as they come out, and I find the other way to be far more entertaining.

The 'other way' is far more entertaining... but it's ultimately sleep depriving.

Compressing 1 Hr into 40 minutes is just too much fun.

The only thing that saved me was the fact that Blockbuster limits you to three DVDs at a time. However a 12 episode marathon starting at about 10pm is a bit brutal, but it's not like your going to sleep well afterwards either.

One at a time is a much healthier option.

DVR it and start watching at :10 after the hour. We zip right through the commercials!

That's exactly what I did. Netflix'd the first five seasons and am now watching season six as it airs. It is KILLING me to have to wait an entire week between episodes!

Did "24" go too far?

Not in my opinion.
