OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Southern California assistant head coach Steve Sarkisian withdrew from the Oakland Raiders' coaching race Friday, just days after apparently emerging as the favorite to succeed Art Shell.

Good! Sarkisian is the quarterback coach of the Trojans, and he can stay and churn out a couple more Heisman winners.
I'm thinking Pete Carroll got ahold of him and shook some sense into him- Oakland? NO. Any other pro team, maybe.
If Art Shell gets one year, what does a younger guy get? Two months? Whoever gets it had better start over and rid the locker room of poison.
