WWE.com has learned that former WWE Superstar Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow has passed away in Florida.

Kevin Doll, the Public Information Director for the Pasco County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Bigelow was found dead early this morning in his home in Hudson, Fla.

"We can confirm that Scott Bigelow was found in his home this morning. At this time the cause of death is unknown," Doll told WWE.com.

Doll also confirmed that the Pasco-Pinellas Counties medical examiner has taken the body and an autopsy will be performed.

Bigelow, 45, worked for WWE, ECW and WCW extensively throughout his 20-year sports-entertainment career. A former ECW Champion, ECW Television Champion and WCW Tag Team Champion, he is perhaps best known for his rivalry with Lawrence Taylor that culminated in the main event of WrestleMania XI in 1995.

He was really nice even after he got famous. My prayers are with him and his family too. Its sad how he had so much and then it all went down the tube. I can remember Mrs Jay's bar, do you remember that? I miss the old Asbury ....even when it was falling down. I don't like this new look at all. I am down by Pt Pleasant. Take care~~Pandora~~

I lived in Eatontown for several years, moved to Jackson about 20 years ago. I remember Mrs. Jay's. I've hit the Wonder Bar a few times across the street from the Convention Hall. I've caught a number of wrestling cards there over the years. I agree with you about the old Asbury Park (before all the rainbow flags started showing up there.)

I know. I thought they were going to redo Asbury much differently then they have...Its a shame as so many bands got their start there. I was so sad when Tillie was torn down. Now the Wonder Bar is going too..... I just read about that in the paper the other day...Oh well Asbury as I knew it is gone now and not coming back. We ride out in Jackson . Too bad thats getting over developed too now. I used to like Plain Janes .

No signs of foul play in Bigelow death

Posted on Mon, Jan. 22, 2007

HUDSON, Fla. - (AP) -- Former pro wrestler Scott Bam Bam Bigelow was found dead in his home on Friday, Jan. 19. He was 45.

Preliminary autopsy results did not show signs of foul play, but a cause of death will not be known until toxicology tests are completed in a few weeks, Pasco County sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said.

Bigelow had been struggling with a persistent infection and diabetes, his brother, Todd, said.

I hate hearing that. I was hoping it wouldn't be the same path so many of them seem to take. Prayers for his family.

I just heard that Bad News Brown has died

Bad News Allen dies suddenly

Former Olympic judo bronze medalist Allen Coage -- better known to wrestling fans as Bad News Allen and Bad News Brown -- has died suddenly. He was 63.

Coage died early Tuesday morning in Calgary at Rockyview Hospital, having been rushed to the hospital, complaining of chest pains.

Three weeks ago, Coage underwent hip replacement surgery and had been making progress on his recovery. Monday night, he was home alone and called longtime friend Gerry Morrow, complaining of chest pains. Morrow got him to the hospital, where he died about 5:30 a.m. MT Tuesday morning.

The Brooklyn-born Coage represented the United States at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. He broke into professional wrestling through the New Japan Pro Wrestling organization, training in Japan and spending the first few years after there, where he wrestled as Buffalo Coage.

In the Calgary Stampede promotion, he was a star as Bad News Allen, having bloody feuds with the likes of The Dynamite Kid, Archie 'The Stomper' Gouldie, Bret Hart and others.
