It finally got up to 27, and there is more sleet mixed with snow falling off and on and the yard and deck are starting to look white. Once in a while, I hear accumulated ice sliding down the roof, and I can see it splatting on the deck-and the weather forecast says there is more on the way-I do so hope they are wrong.
Hubby's office is closed, along with just about every other business in SA, all the expressways and damn near every main surface street. Considering that this sort of storm happens every few years, you'd really think TXDOT and the county/city would have purchased equipment to clear the roads so people in the city could drive on them so a city of over a million people wouldn't shut down every time a winter storm came.
Husky girl hates going out in the yard when there is ice and snow, never mind that she was bred to run on/in the stuff-she heads in the opposite direction from the back door when I call her to go out. I even tried putting her on her leash and taking her out through the garage in front of the house, but she was not pleased and headed for the garage door as soon as she was done.
It's 45 now and still overcast - and it's down right raw.
But I'll take it over what you're dealing with........I hate ice.
