From what I just read, it looks like she came out in the 1950's. That would make sense because my sister was born in '51. She was an adaptation from a cartoon character.

Okay, I've watched the first four episodes. I have two working hypotheses:

(1) "24" has turned hard left.

(2) The USA in "24" had turned hard left, and the show is recreating the resulting consequences when the government takes the hard left seriously. And Charles Darwin is smiling in his grave.

After last night, I was leaning toward hypothesis (1). After tonight, I'm not so sure. If anything, I am now leaning slightly towards hypothesis (2).

In any event, the "jump the shark" quotient is already reaching unacceptable levels. You were right about that.
