Maybe not the first few episodes but I think he might catch his second wind midway through the season.

They have the first two eps already on the internet at xtvi.com. If you're worried about power, downloaded them now and watch them later (assuming you have a battery powered laptop).

Rush said that he and his friends were blown away watching the first 6 hours and that in the opening two nights there are four scenes that made people say, "I can't believe they just did that!" That sure sounds promising! I've been worried about being disappointed this season since last season was so fantastic. I mean, what do they do for an encore after last year?

24 returns for another season.
The time period is two years later. I miss First Lady Martha already.
Poor Jack. He can't catch a break. The new President buys Jack back from the Chinese, only to sell him to Islamist terrorists.
Chloe had been dating around and
pwns her new CTU supervisor -- the Sup left open the Jarvis Firewall and Chloe caught it.
Chloe's ex manages to lock onto a commercial satellite to trace Jack's whereabouts. Dang, he might even be more technically savvy than Chloe. But they get caught.
The first hour is a tear-jerker. Have a box of tissues close at hand. It is patriotically inspiring what Jack does for his country.
Bill handcuffs Jack to a grill to await the terrorist to get him.
Jack to Bill:
"Do you understand the difference between dying for something and dying for nothing? The only reason I fought so hard to stay alive in China was that I didn't want to die for nothing. Today, I can die for something, my way, my choice."
Does Jack give the terrorist the finger?
Have faith in Jack.
And hang on. It looks like another bumpy ride in Season 6 of
24
Do NOT miss the final 5 minutes of the 4th hour on Monday night. It is a jaw-dropper.

Here in NE Oklahoma, they're predicting more severe ice storms for today and tonight. I'm desperately hoping the sat signal holds up and there are no power outages.
NW AR got hit some, but not nearly as bad as OK. We have some ice in the trees, but the roadways and streets are clear. We lost cable sometime turning the night, so I was sans cable tv and Internet (oh, the agony) this morning. They got it thawed out just about 15 minutes ago. The bad ice missed us, but several area towns north of my location are without electric power.
Another hit is expected this afternoon, however, and the temp is alreay below freezing. And this next week temps may be nearing Zero at night.
