Two men suspected in the shooting of another man on Interstate Hwy. 94 last month are now facing first-degree murder charges. Pedro Marcelino Simon, 24, died Monday. He was shot Dec. 10 in Brooklyn Center while he was driving home from the grocery store. Jorge A. Quijada, 23, a passenger in another car, flashed gang signs at Marcelino Simon, according to criminal charges. Marcelino Simon, who police said apparently had no gang affiliations and didn't know Quijada, laughed off the gesture, prosecutors said. Feeling slighted, Quijada shot at Marcelino Simon's car and hit him in the head.
