In a saga that just won't die, Donald Trump wrote a letter Tuesday to Rosie O'Donnell in response to media reports of her blow-up at Barbara Walters, telling her she had the right to be angry and saying Walters "lied to both of us."
The tone of Trump's Jan. 9 letter, sent to FOX News and other press outlets, is snide and some of his allegations about Walters' recent grumblings over O'Donnell, whom she hired last year to be the moderator on "The View," are shocking.
"In fact, she lied to both of us!" Trump wrote in the one-page letter, which he sent to O'Donnell at ABC Studios in Manhattan. "After your maniacal and foolish rant against me two weeks ago, Barbara called me from her vacation (I did not call her) in order to apologize for your behavior. She had heard that I was going to retaliate against you and tried to talk me out of it."
Trump claims Walters tried to persuade him to come on "The View" when she returned from vacation so that she could "patch things up," but he said no.
"To be exact, she said that 'working with her [O'Donnell] is like living in hell' and, more pointedly, 'Donald, never get into the mud with pigs' and 'don't worry, she won't be here for long,'" Trump wrote. "Barbara knows exactly what she told me over the phone and she has to live with it."

>>"Cameras are now outside of my house where
my wife and kids are," Page Six sources reported O'Donnell as replying before she told Walters, "You went all around this and never called [Trump] a liar. You never said, 'Donald is lying.' You never called him a liar ... Are you looking me in the face and denying you didn't tell him you didn't say this? You're a [expletive] liar."

Rosie is already losing this battle, because she really is a blowhard who doesn't have the courage of her convictions.
Did you see her apology to Asian people that she was forced into after mocking the way they speak? Pathetic.
Rosie isn't for women and she isn't for overweight people either, but that's her story now and it's as much a lie as her saying that she didn't realize what she said about Asians was offensive. She's lived her entire life in NYC, how could she not know? For a real good look at who and what Rosie is, please see the court testimony from the civil suit against her re that magazine. The lies contained in it pale next to eyewitness accounts of her cruelty and mental instability. She's going to crack up over this, and frankly, she deserves it.
I never watched the Donald's show until now, mostly I always thought of him as "that billionaire guy". This letter is pure Trump. Barbra Walters called him a liar on national TV, and he took her apart in this letter. Good for him. I never could stand that witch, there's always been something so off about her. Donald is going to win because that's what he does. Trump is a winner. Rosie is a vicious lesbian who also happens to be raising children. What a lovely life for those kids...

This is a huge media PR stunt, not unlike what we used to get promoting TV wrestling.

I have a friend who watches wrestling and he told me last night McMahon had Rosie/Trump lookalikes fighting it out in the ring.
I haven't been following this before now but it is absolutely hilarious. What Rosie fails to see is that it doesn't matter if Trump 'loses' this argument. He'll still have his billions. But if Rosie loses, she's fired and back at home living in her relationship. I do wonder what effect this is having on her girlfriend/wife. At some point even she will have enough of Rosie's rantings.

Not necessarily. Look how long CBS kept Rather after his ratings were in the toilet. And Miss Perky has the lowest ever ratings, worse than Dan Rather, yet CBS refuses to fire Katie. Apparently, ratings mean nothing.
If you have corporate sponsor willing to pay the price, why do you care about the rating? Some copanies will pay anything to keep the liberal point of view on the air.

Well..this makes me think less of Trump...If this is true, then it's pretty rotten for Trump to betray this confidence.

Sheesh. Baba Wawa takes time from her vacation to call The Donald and apologize and makes some remarks clearly not intended for Rosie's ears, so The Donald repeats them on national TV and then in a letter released to the public. Whatta jerk.

Just wondering, anyone else have my take on the apprentice? Trump fired that blonde executive (I mean in real life) who worked for him for years, because she became too popular. Now he puts his daughter on the show, and she viciously tells one (black) contestant she doesn't like anything about him, including how he talks, and couldn't see him working at "our company".
Talk about nepotism and the daughter from hell. The show is becoming a parody of what's wrong with a lot of corporate America.

Yep.....Another Bamboozle the masses extravaganza. The Trump- O'Donnell Feud is a scam intended to boost ratings for both participants.Neither one have ever been shy about using the media to keep their name in the headlines. Both Trump and O'Donnell are cheesy media hogs.
