The Giants wanted Parcell's son-in-law but not him. Ouch.
Jerry must let him go or look like a little pansy. (That's IF this story is true). Jones has been showing public support for him and this is Parcells response?
I wonder if they've had a conversation about Owens yet?
Well at least he flew back to Dallas rather than going straight to New York. That's a marked improvement in Parcell's concept of loyalty.
It doesn't look good for Parcell to stay in Dallas.
Dunno about a conversation about The Player-I'm ready to see both of them just go away...tired of Parcells' questionable dedication to the org and the T.O. freak show, not to mention his wd40-fingers.
Only the media saw the Cowboys as a Super Bowl team. Anyone else with half a brain saw them for what they really are - a middle-of-the-road and quickly aging squad with a proven team-wrecker (TO) on the roster, a head coach whose best days are behind him and a wildly over-hyped starting quarterback who was elevated to superstar status based on one game.
Apparently the Giants don't want him to shop for any of their groceries.
The cirucs atmosphere needs to end quickly if Jones want to see the 'Boys playing a Super Bowl in their new stadium.
given how that wasteline has grown over the years I can't say as I blame them.
All that grocery talk of his still makes me think he tanked that Superbowl.
I love it.
Giants- 3 playoff wins since 1990.
Dallas- none since 1996.
Yeah, they won SBs but that was a while ago.
And both home for the playoffs.
From 1986 to 1995 teams from the NFC East won seven Super Bowls. It was hands down the best division in the league during that era.
Yeah, been watching football since the 70s. Thanks..
Those Eagle teams of that era were up against some great competition. I've always wondered if they would have cut into the Cowboys dynasty if Jerome Brown hadn't been killed.
as a die hard giants fan, tuna come home where you belong...
Believe in the Landry approach having rooted for the team since 1966. An ex-Giant fan I've seen teams come and go but the basic Single Wing formation would be a breath of fresh air. The offense is there and defense can be rebuilt!
Eagles problem throughout that era was consistent- terrible O-lines.
Unless they fixed that it would have never changed. So many busts at that position historically for the Eagles. Its only recently that they have had good O-lineman. When the Cowboys came along in the 90s they redefined the game with speed... the Eagles were a strong, plodding team so they didnt fit there either.
Bad timing!
