Wow everybody here hates tats. Women who have them are skanks etc. White trash hmmmm..... I wonder why it concerns them so much as it is not their bodies. I wonder how many people they know and respect have them in places they don't see.... I really am amazed at some of the people who I see post here and their comments. People I post to , like and respect..... Well for all of you guess what... I have TATs. I am not a skank, white trash or a tramp. Now I guess I am all that in their minds. Boo hoo... For the person who commented on the guy who served her lunch and she was grossed out ...maybe he is grossed out by you. To the people who say tats stretch and fade...wrong again. If you take care of them and put sunscreen on them they don't fade nor do they stretch unless you are so huge and lose weight that your skin is hanging.......... The people that were interviewed for this story , well I think they are morons too.......Weber said her visible chest and arm tattoos have really affected her public life.
"I can't go into a store with a short sleeved shirt without someone coming up to me and grabbing my arm or saying 'that's cool,'" she said. "It's a real lack of private or personal space......... To her I say this, why did you get them if you didn't want comments?....I think tattoo sleeves on a woman do look nasty and most men I know don't like them either. Tattoo ink has changed since my dad's old Navy one and so have the needles.......... I think people don't think long and hard enough before getting them. And Hep C is a problem if you go to a place thats dirty...... The tats today are expensive if you want to get a good artist to do one...... Many people will regret getting them is a true fact. Removal is expensive too and usually leaves scars........ I don't know of a tat artist who will do any work without talking to you long and hard about what you are doing and why. They won't do them on anyone underage. It is their art your body is wearing and most are quite serious about it.......... But then what would this white trash skank know? Funny but if you meet me you wouldn't see my tats, they're personal and I don't show them. All except for the beauty mark by my eye which you wouldn't even know was one unless I told you.

"Wow everybody here hates tats."
Since you addressed this to me, I'll clarify: I don't.
I posted this article because I thought it was a nice Mother/Daughter story. The people that don't like them expressed their views, and while I don't have any, I don't deny others the right to have them if they want them. And I appreciate the artful tattoos on my friends and family.
BUT...as in the case of the Skullface Guy, that's just beyond the pale. You don't disfigure yourself to THAT extent if you DON'T want attention...either positive or negative. For some people, either will do. ;)
I think there's a lot of psychological garbage behind obsessive tattooing and piercing, and while it's never been "my" style, it works for others.
I can't think of a single person I know, aside from my Mom that doesn't have a tattoo of some sort.
Maybe I'm the freak? LOL!

No,
Not everyone here hates tats...
Personally,
I like them a lot, know lots of folks with them that are smart, cool, funny and great folks.
I know lots of women with them who are good mothers, wives and daughters. One of the dancers I admire the most on the planet has a tat that encircles her midsection.... I admire not only her dancing, but her putting her mantra on her body.
Don't let the idjits get ya down!

I have a good friend that is an amazing tattoo artist and his artwork blows me away. I'd personally never get a tat, but I do appreciate a tasteful tat on another person. While I generally think it's a smarter option to get a small tattoo that you can cover up, I don't make personally evaluations about a person judged on just the fact that they have a visible tattoo. To me it's all about the design/size of the tat, the positioning of the tat and the way the tattee chooses to display the tat.
If I see cuss words, bizarre and/or excessive artwork covering large parts of the body on any gender all I can think is white trash.
If I see a woman with a tattoo above her butt crack, wearing pants that are low enough to show off her butt crack, then the nicest thing that comes to my mind is skank.
