Terry Kath is probably the most underrated guitarist of all time. He was ahead of his time. And a killer voice to boot

Ab so lute ly.

Ever really listen to the Carnegie (album IV) version of "It Better End Soon"? Just pick out the guitar work. The word "virtuoso" was invented for that kind of performance. While he's singing, Kath builds this incredible tension in the background -- it's amazing.

I totally agree!! His solo on "25 or 6 to Four" is still one of my favorites! Read somewhere Jimi Hendrix thought he was one of the best guitarist's he had ever seen or heard LIVE! He died way too soon.....

The first concert I ever went to was Chicago at the New Haven Coliseum in 1977....awesome. Chicago 5 always finds it way onto my stereo when the wine is flowing.....that album still sounds great every time I listen to it.

I counter that Lindsey Buckingham is the most underrated guitarist ever. What he does with a guitar while singing lead is just phenomenal.
