Actually, Mythbusters already did a show on the bullet falling back down to earth killing someone. It was busted I think. The bullets barely had enough velocity on the way down to pierce the skin.

I think they discoverd that if a bullet was fired straight up in the air, it had little velocity falling down, but a bullet fired at a 45 degree angle retained its velocity.
