Thank you.
Does anyone know where the best fireworks (07/04) are? Vegas?
Many years ago, they used to do a Firefall at Yosemite every night at 9PM in the summer. The one they did on the 4th of July was bigger and more spectacular. It was breathtaking to see a waterfall of fire going over a 3000 ft cliff in the pitch dark.
They would call to the fire builder up at the top and then someone would sing the Indian Love Call through the woods in the dark while the ball of fire was tumbling down the mountainside. Wow, it was something - very haunting.
However, they discontinued it shortly after I got to see it - it had been going on for 100 years, I think. What I'm wondering is if Yosemite has replaced that with something similar. There is also a firefall in NM, which I'll have to look up for you.
