"We all agree that USC is the best in the nation?"

They have a legitimate chance to enter the 2007 season ranked #1 and a reasonable prospect of running the table for the 2007 season - alot depends on how they rebuild their run offense for 2007...

USC didn't deserve to be in the NC game after losing to UCLA - IMO

I think SC and LSU will be 1 and 2 when the polls come out in August. Even if JaMarcus Russell does go into the draft, the Tigers still have Matt Flynn and Ryan Perilloux at QB. They're loaded, and I know the Trojans will be, too.

Yep. The conventional wisdom is whomever won the Rose Bowl would be ranked #1 next year. Not sure I'm comfortable with that, but it worked out well for Ohio State! My only concern is USC has to play at ND --- you think the grass will be about 2 feet this time around?
