Boise State wins 2007 Fiesta Bowl in OT against Big 12 Champs, Oklahoma.
Amazing 4th and 18 touchdown from the fifty with a flea flicker with 7 seconds left. Amazing 4th down touchdown in OT followed by another amazing 2 point conversion to win against a very resilant and strong OU team which came back from 18 points down and took the lead with a minute and 6 minutes left in regulation.
One of the most exciting and amazing College football games I have seen, next to the Miracle Bowl when BYU beat SMU 41 to 40 by scoring three touchdowns in the last three minuts 25 years ago.
How 'bout them Broncos!

Yes it was...on both counts. Thrilling, exciting and engaging right til the last play in OT. Actually, with Mr. Johnson's proposal, it was "engaging" after the game too!

That game is an instant classic. I bet we'll see it time and again over the course of the next year on ESPN Classic. You can bet they are going to make a movie out of this one, just like "Miracle."

I'd watch it. (But I'd be wearing my Gators jacket to the theater!)

Congrats from a Southern Miss fan... maybe someday we'll see the end of the BCS and a real playoff can be instituted!

Hats off to the Boise State coach for keeping his cool and focus at the end..
It was a masterful coaching display of not folding under pressure.

No your forgetting a few things; i.e. Evil Knievel jumping the Snake, Arnold breaking his leg skiing, oh yea, and Don't forget JFKerry making this a stop during his presidential run....Just kidding!
To: NormsRevenge
Did you hear him say his back up QBs were calling the plays, and called the winning 2 point conversion play? I love that.

That was one of the best football games I have ever seen. Congratulations to Boise State. They probably had everybody fooled with that 2point conversion play to win it.
To: NormsRevenge
You are spot on with that. Both Coach Peterson and the QB Zebranski held on under pressure and after making earlier mistakes. They had the heart, the will, and the gumption to get 'er done down the stretch.
And that takes nothing away from a great OU performance in overcoming the 18 point deficit...nothing except the win of course.

In Zebranski's interview, he mentioned that the pass fake was the idea of one of those backup QBs as well, and he put it in there. Worked like a charm...when Ian Johnson took off to the left, there was no one there at all.

Yes BSU was ranked...but still, anytime a WAC team gets a shot at one of the really parennial college football powerhouses, it's a big thing out here. Agreed. And after watching that snoozer USC v Michigan game I passed on this one. :-(
Just waiting on the Gators ...

OU was totally out-played and out-coached. Boise St. made a real statement.
Disappointed Big-12 Fan.
At least KU did not get a chance to be totally embarrassed in a bowl game this year.

Stoops looked like he knew he was still on shaky ground when they went into OT, he got out-coached,, they played well 2nd half on but he never really looked too overconfident of winning.

Well, with the Oregon Trail history coming through Idaho, gold discoveries, the 1st nuclear reactor, etc., you would probably get some arguements on whether it is the single biggest event in Idaho...but as far as sports in Idaho go, you will not get many arguements ... except matbe from a Steelie fan or two...hehehe.
