It sounds like a tired joke--but a group of airline employees insist they are in earnest, and they are upset that neither their bosses nor the government will take them seriously.
A flying saucerlike object hovered low over O'Hare International Airport for several minutes before bolting through thick clouds with such intense energy that it left an eerie hole in overcast skies, said some United Airlines employees who observed the phenomenon.

Zero is a probability.
Swamp gas coming out of Hillary's butt
Funny... I read the article and not one person "came forward." Anonymously feeding a rumor to a reporter is not "coming forward."
>> How many people saw a missile strike TWA flight 800, and were ignored? I'd say 100, including pilots. <<
Thousands. But, then, the cell phone wasn't ubiquitous. A digital image among hundreds of witnesses isn't proof, since it can be tampered, but the lack of one cell-phone photo among thousands of tourists and businessmen is pretty much sufficient proof of nothing-to-see-here.
These witnesses need a beating."
Really? At least a dozen, several were pilots, some were mechanics.
"All the witnesses to the O'Hare event, who included at least several pilots, said they are certain based on the disc's appearance and flight characteristics that it was not an airplane, helicopter, weather balloon or any other craft known to man."
It was an Obama-sighting. "Rising star," and all that...

Witnesses shaken by sighting
"I tend to be scientific by nature, and I don't understand why aliens would hover over a busy airport," said a United mechanic who was in the cockpit of a Boeing 777 that he was taxiing to a maintenance hangar when he observed the metallic-looking object above Gate C17.
"But I know that what I saw and what a lot of other people saw stood out very clearly, and it definitely was not an [Earth] aircraft," the mechanic said.
One United employee appeared emotionally shaken by the sighting and "experienced some religious issues" over it, one co-worker said.
Ya think??? I'd sure be calling Jesus after seeing something like that!!!
Sure they will. We just won't find out about it. It's not wise to admit to the public that we can't control our airspace. I would expect them to find out how to capture one before an enemy does and then use the technology to our advantage. It would be a state secret.
That's my thought. These days, most people carry around some form of digital camera.
The video link seems only to be a link to a local newscast report about the sightings, not a video of the "UFO" itself.
Bet the farm that the employees, who saw the UFO, are all, liberal Democrats!!
To do the jobs that Chicagoans won't?
It is just two reporters talking about it. No video of the actual UFO.
UFO means Unidentified Flying Object.
If no one knows what it is, isn't it "unidentified?"
I hope that's what it was, especially considering that it was seen to disappear so fast it punched a hole in the cloudcover. You bet it would be nice if it's one of ours -- because it's somebody's. The ods that these airline employees are doing this as a media prank are almost less than the liklihood of it actually being "Uncle Wally" from Mars!
Again, I hope you're right.
