"It's the wonderful New FR!"Not so. This is the same FR it has always been. I started lurking in 98 signed up in 2000. One of the things I always liked is all the different kinds of humor that has always been part of FR Freepers.

You're right, and when we read about the most awful crimes, the most vicious, despicable, deranged things people do to others, so often meth is behind it.

Yep. You have me wondering now --- it really is unusual to have an ax in a studio apartment.

Does anyone else find it odd that they have an ax in the closet of a studio apartment? I mean, in a studio apartment, wouldn't you house only the necessities.
A gun takes up so much less space--and it would have required so much less effort.

Bremerton looks like it's in a rural area - to quote Sigmund Bunyan: "Sometimes an axe is just an axe."

"What is with joking about a subject in which a woman was axed to death?""It's called black humor. It's what people do when things are too horrible to cope with normally and one is sick of the platitudes about how awful, terrible, sad, tragic, etc. something is. Relieves the stress. You should hear paramedics sometime.
An excellent response sent to a stuffed shirt prude!
