McLennan County sheriff’s deputies and Department of Public Safety troopers arrested anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan and four other protesters Thursday as President Bush met with top advisers to discuss Iraq war strategy at his Central Texas ranch.

The arrests occurred at a barricade in the area of the president’s ranch.

The five were taken to the Crawford Police Department and a van was dispatched to transport them to the McLennan County Jail.

They were charged with obstructing a highway or other passageway, which is a Class B misdemeanor.

Its the smile on her face that gets me. Its the same smile she gives every time she gets arrested, and much like the one with her and Jesse Jackson (Stuck on stupid). If I was protesting against the government "for" my dead son, I don't think I'd be enjoying it nearly as much as she seems to be.

The five protesters, including Dede Miller, Sheehan’s sister; Gerry Fonsecca, Sheehan’s boyfriend; Carl Rising-Moore; and Jeri Reed, were arrested on misdemeanor charges of obstructing a roadway. The group is expected to be bonded out of the McLennan County Jail today.
