How about George Michael's "Never gonna fall in love again" with the infamous "guilty feet have got no rhythm"

CCR had a very helpful song: "There's a bathroom on the right..."

Oops, I think I'm on the wrong thread.

I'd put The Black Eyed Peas song at #1 if I was the one doing the picking.

Madman drummers bummers,
Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat
In the dumps with the mumps as the adolescent pumps his way into his hat
With a boulder on my shoulder, feelin' kinda older,
I tripped the merry-go-round
With this very unpleasin', sneezin' and wheezin,
the calliope crashed to the ground

5. David Hasselhoff “Is Everybody Happy”

Why 'music' by Hasselhoff even makes any list is beyond me.

2. Captain and Tennille, “Muskrat Love”

Didn't "America" do that one originally?

And theb there was this song on the charts long ago.

No parkin' by the sewer sign
Hot dog, my razor's broke
Water drippin' up the spout
But I don't care, let it all hang out

Hangin' from a pine tree by my knees
Sun is shinin' through the shade
Nobody knows what it's all about,
It's too much, man, let it all hang out

Saw a man walkin' upside down
My T.V.'s on the blink
Made Galileo look like a Boy Scout
Sorry 'bout that, let it all hang out

Sleep all day, drive all night
Brain my numb, can't stop now
For sure ain't no doubt
Keep an open mind, let it all hang out

It's rainin' inside a big brown moon
How does that mess you baby up, leg
Eatin' a Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut
Don't stop now, baby, let it all hang out

Why isn't Leslie Gore's "Rhyme Game" not in the list?

America, “A Horse With No Name”

IIRC, there was a phrase "into the desert, where the heat was hot."

Something like that. Who'd think that heat was hot?

My fave:

Andy Devine

Had a thong rind

It was sublime

But the wrong kind

But the wrong kind

Have I aligned

With a blown mind

Wasted my time

On a drawn blind

With a blown mind

Wasted my time

On a drawn blind

After all, “The Doo Ron Ron” is a great song

The song is titled "Da Doo Ron Ron" and it is far from a great song. After this comment, I realized the writer's opinion would be worthless.

Sometimes, I wonder if Fergie isn't just a brilliant caricature of everything wrong with hip-hop.

Have to agree on pretty much all of these.

I did always wonder what an "Unskinny Bop" was.

Deck the Halls

Deck the halls with Buddy Holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
'Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we now our day of peril,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

See the blazing Yulbie Forest,
Fa la la la la la, la la la.
Strike the heart, enjoy the florist,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Deck the halls with bells of jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
'Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

The album cover is so-so...

...but these have gotta be the most unintentionally hilarious Christmas song lyrics ever:

Christmas in San Francisco

Vic Damone

Christmas in San Francisco
What a lovely place to be
Seeing the hills being all lit up
Like a diamond Christmas tree
Hearing children singing carols
People come from everywhere
To sing along with the children
Standing all around Union Square

Christmas in San Francisco
Looking like some fairy land
People with gifts in the crispy air
Giving old Saint Nick a hand

Let’s take a peek in Chinatown
Eating lychee nuts and barbecued boar
What can you say about the Golden Gate
That hasn’t been said before

Christmas in San Francisco
There is no place quite so dear
It’s the closest thing to heaven
How I wish that you were here.

What can you say about the Golden Gate
That hasn’t been said before
Christmas in San Francisco
There is no place quite so dear
It’s the closest thing to heaven
How I wish that you were here.

So, I can only be with you if I pay your bills? That would make you a…what exactly?

A hip-hop video hoochie?

"All I wanna do is zooma zoom zoom zoom and a boom-boom...now shake yer rump!"

2. Captain and Tennille, “Muskrat Love”

Oooh...bad research.

"Muskrat Love" was written by Willis Alan Ramsey in 1971 and first performed by the group "America".
The Captain and Tenille only covered it.
