Remote detection satellites are used by the intelligence branch of the military to conduct mind control exercises in the theater of war. All this technology is dependent upon the higher branches of particle physics and quantum mechanics. The array of satellites safe in deep space cover the entire earth making the mind control intelligence program widely successful. Be amazed as you view this military program break out of the box. Go to the following web site that shows a real-time mind control zombie being manipulated by satellite and the military. www.MindControlUSA.com

The grapes remind me of my grandma's house...she did a bunch of grapes and zillions of pineapple doilies.

From that other language:

Cast on multiple of 4 + 2

row 1 :sl 1 *k1 p1 k2tog yo. Repeat from * until next to last stitch. End in a k1
Row 2: sl 1, p across.
Row 3: sl 1, k across.
Row 4: sl 1, p across

Repeat these 4 rows for desired length.

(used to be called the shawl stitch. Needs a border, or else it will be roly poly. Rows 2-4 can be done all in K or P and it won't be roly-poly. Works well for scarves that need to be lacy.

My favorite afghan pattern: (in another arcane language)

Chain as long as you want it wide.
row 1: sc across
row 2: hdc across
row 3: dc across
row 4: hdc across

Repeat these 4 rows, changing colors as suits your fancy, until it's as long as you like it.
row 1:

Interesting. I used to have a program that would draw fractals. Kept going until you stopped. Very pretty to contemplate.

Too bad we don't do anything interesting with computers anymore.

Most of what I do I could do with pen and paper. Of course, there is a difference. We get to share our inanities.

A computer allows you to screw up soooo much faster.

Even though Cad has sped up drafting, I miss the sense of accomplishment I used to get from completing a hand drawn plan.

oF COURSE i GET TO TALK LIKE THIS A LOT NOW.

Leading to the development of the Ohnosecond.

Been there, done that, get severely chewed out for it. Evil-mail is a nickname used around the office now.

In keeping woth your previous tags, how about this: "If we shrink as we age, why does the floor keep getting more distant?"

ROFLOL

BTW, my brand new, never had these things before bifocals will be ready in a day or two. I have no idea what to really expect.

I just hope to be able to read stuff again without looking over, under, sideways, down.

I've been using variable focus lenses. They're driving me crazy.

Essentially, they are cylindrical lenses, and they are only useful in the centerline (up and down) of the lens.

This means I can see at long distances, intermediate distances, the range to my computer monitor, or to a close-held book. Convenient, eh?

It also means that when I drive up to an intersection, I have to turn my head physically around to use the centerline at an angle. I'm not that flexible.

I'm thinking of getting single vision lenses for driving. At least I'll be able to use my peripheral vision again.

Also, be careful going down stairs. They tend to be out of focus for bifocals wearers.

Several years ago I walked into Lenscrafters... and came out with my first (correction) glasses, and they were bifocals. (Actually I started with graduated lenses, but they just didn't work for me at all, and made me feel ill in the process.)

Most things are fine with bifocals. Stairs are not. And if I'm working with computer screens for any time I pull out the granny-glasses readers for the increased area. (I don't really the need the uppers except to take my 20/20 vision back to whatever it was before it degraded to 20/20.)

I drive with my bifocals -- better vision on the instrument panel, sharpest acuity for distance. I can drive without glasses, and sometimes do, but I really like seeing in detail what's happening WAY down the road...

I'm here until Feb 16th, then I fly back to Seattle for good. If they want to drag me back here again, it'll only be for 30 days. This 120 day stuff gets old fast.
