Arnie tops Christmas crocks (Worst Christmas movies!)

ARNOLD Schwarzenegger's festive film Jingle All The Way has been voted the biggest Christmas turkey.

The laugh-free comedy featured Arnie desperately trying to get his hands on the latest must-have toy for his young son.

It topped a poll of 3,000 film fans by British cinema group www.pearlanddean.com.

Sixties B-movie Santa Conquers The Martians came second - it told the surreal story of Father Christmas being kidnapped and carted off to meet kids on Mars.

Comic actor Tim Allen has two films in the top 10 - Christmas With The Kranks and The Santa Clause.

There were also entries for Home Alone, starring Macaulay Culkin, slushy Richard Attenborough film Miracle On 34th Street, Dudley Moore dud Santa Claus: The Movie and Billy Bob Thornton's bad taste comedy Bad Santa.

Kathryn Jacobs of Pearl & Dean said: "Everybody loves a good family film at Christmas but they can't all be classics like It's A Wonderful Life.

"We think Arnie is a very worthy winner."

Top 10 Worst Christmas Films:

1 Jingle All The Way (1996)

2 Santa Conquers The Martians (1964)

3 Christmas With The Kranks (2004)

4 National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1987)

5 Santa Claus: The Movie (1985)

6 Miracle on 34th Street (1994)(tied)

6 Home Alone (1990)

8 Bad Santa (2003)

9 The Santa Clause (1994)

10 The Family Man (2000)

Any Christmas song "sung" by Springsteen should automatically qualify as the worst song ever.

Another MST3K classic ... but which was worse, "Santa Claus" or "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians?"

And to quote Robert Smigel as Arnold Schwarzenegger on the Conan O'Brien show: "If you give a man a jingle, he'll jingle for a day, but if you teach that man to jingle, then he'll Jingle All the Way!"

Santa Clause, Home Alone and Family Man do NOT belong on this list. Now, Home Alone 2...

Oh yeah...Christmas vacation shouldn't be on there, either. Clark's rant about his boss alone makes it great.

The worst Christmas song ever?

The one where they sing in the chorus "He's comin' up the chimney down." At least I think that's what they're singing. [shudder]

Andy Williams: Happy Holiday/The Holiday Season

It's the holiday season
(the holiday season)
So hoopdidoo and dickoreedock
And don't forget, to hang up your sock
Cause just exactly at twelve o'clock
He'll be coming up the chimney down
(he'll be coming up the chimney down)
