I love the Joel MSTs, you can keep the Mike Nelsons for the most part.
I sit here and laugh at my desk everytime I think of that classic MST.
Joe Don Baker had some fine moments on film (I particularly loved him opposite Robert Duvall in "The Outfit") I don't know how he managed to suck so bad in "Mitchell." What a miserable seventies train wreck!
How about the MST classic Lee Van Cleef ninja movie (I can't remember the name of it though.) I loved how crotchety rickety old Lee turned into a gymnastic twenty year old seconds after he pulled on his ninja hood.
But it is unfair to place big budget smashes and flops up against small budget "cult" movies in either 'worst' or 'most overrated' lists. Even comparisons across decades are difficult.
What's that doing on the list? A pretty good movie, IMHO.
Bad Santa?! These people just don't get the concept of Christmas movies for adults. Half way through my first viewing of Bad Santa I knew it would join my annual viewing list alongside The Ref and Die Hard.
Hey! Badder Santa (the unrated DVD release) is the finest Christmas movie ever made! It's the only one I take the time to watch every year. ;)
Replace The Ref with Nightmare Before Christmas and you have my list.
Bad Santa is a classic.
I love Christmas Vacation and Family Man and Christmas with the Kranks. I must be way off of the Christmas list. I would never have put those three on the list. My personality must be bad when it comes to certain Christmas movies. lol.
Nightmare Before Christmas I usually watch in mid-November, with its combined Halloween-Christmas theme it's a good pre-holiday season bridge the gap movie.
What is that Christmas song that is playing in the limo at the beginning of Die Hard?
According an online script I found it's possibly The Fat Boys doing White Christmas. I just watched a week ago and I can't remember.
Are you talking about "The Master"? Lee was like 60 when that was on!
Good thing Dr Seuss wasn't alive to see those monstrosities.
A classic MST3K. In fact, it may have actually been two episodes of MST3K, but I'm not sure if I remember that correctly.
I think it was a television series, repackaged as a couple of movies. Lame-o-rama, but great fodder for MST.
If he were alive, we wouldn't have. It's always the 'heirs' that sell out the legacy they didn't earn.
LMFAO! Thats hilarious! Although, in the movie, it was slower than the OJ chase if you can believe that....hahaha!
Nothing can touch "The Christmas Shoes" for worst song ever. Especially the version by Springsteen or Adams or some raspy voiced 80s dude.
"$hitter's full"
