What's "interesting" is when people like Nicholas Cage and Tori Spelling claim to go into auditions without any assist of their Coppola or Spelling connections.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter much. But we are living in a world that focuses on celebrity more than talent and sister/nephew/daughter/et al finds it easier to get in front of a camera or onstage than a more talented nobody.

It certainly helps identify the problem with the music industry today.

Maybe it is because of all the contracts and phoniness of the entertainment world; they'd rather not have outsiders learn of it, get frustrated, and speak candidly of the horrorshow.
