Found in a NC swamp. No foul play...believe to be an auto accident. Prayers for their family. They looked like a loving, happy couple.

From what I saw in the video the skidmarks go from the highway across the grass and into the creek...they are plain as day. I don't know how they could have been missed but I have not seen them in person.
Keep trying...maybe you should search on amazon for some come back books - you need to work on that...

N.C. Department of Transportation workers followed skid marks near the Red Oak exit on northbound I-95 near mile marker 140, then spotted the Guay's white Mazda 3 submerged in a small creek, said 1st Sgt. Keith Stone of the N.C. Highway Patrol.
The car left the road, veered down the bank and ricocheted off a tree before hitting the creek and sinking to the bottom of the 6- to 8-foot deep unnamed body of water. The license plate of the car was barely visible, he said.
"It just happened to go right into the mouth of the creek," Stone said, adding that the time of the crash has not been determined because the cold water helped preserve the bodies. "(But) I wouldn't have any reason to believe it's inconsistent with when they left."
Rocky Mount is about 225 miles from Myrtle Beach or roughly a 3 1/2-hour drive. Stone said speeding does not seem to have been a factor and that it appeared the brakes were tapped slightly before the car left the road.
Wayne Guay appears to have been driving, Stone said, and neither Wayne nor Dianne were wearing a seat belt when the car was removed from the water. The impact with the tree penetrated the driver's side of the car and left a hole about 10 inches in diameter, Stone said.
The Stony Creek Rescue Squad sent a diver into the water to do a preliminary investigation of the scene after the car was found at about 3:30 p.m. The murky water prevented the investigator from determining anything except the doors were closed and all the windows except the front driver's side one were intact, said Rescue Squad Chief Phil Rowe.

The State Law Enforcement Division took to the air Monday, and the Guay family hired its own private helicopter through Executive Helicopters Inc. of North Myrtle Beach, to try to locate the couple's white 2003 Mazda.
Shane Duffy, the chief pilot with Executive Helicopters, said he was circling the swamp - about eight miles north of the Rocky Mount, N.C., airport - and spotted the car at about the same time police arrived at 4:30 p.m.
He said he saw tire tracks that looked like a car had slid sideways off the east side of the highway into a 20-foot-wide creek just before a small bridge.
"Exactly how or why would just be a shot in the dark," Duffy said.
How about 3 to 4 hours more likely than 2 to 3 hours.
About 10 years ago, I was stopped at a red light waiting to make a left turn when an older Chevy Suburban came busting through the intersection from my right just as my left turn arrow came on. I hesitated before continuing through as I saw a bunch of sparks and realized that his tires were blown out but he was in quite a hurry.
He disappeared out of sight around a bend ahead of me just as I saw flashing lights appear in my rear view mirror. I pulled over to let 4 or 5 police cars blow by me and continued on my way. In a few seconds, a couple more highway patrol cars and a few seconds after that, 2 or 3 more, all with lights and sirens wailing. About 3/4 to a mile later I saw a couple of patrol cars with lights and sirens coming from the opposite direction but they were not in as much of a hurry. As I approached a neighborhood, I looked ahead to see a bunch of fresh gouges in the road turning into the neighborhood. Littered about the turn were fresh pieces of tire rubber. The patrol cars coming from the opposite direction were disappearing over the hill in my mirror. It became obviously that they lost their scent.
So naturally, the curious guy that I am, I turned into the neighborhood as patrol cars were coming and going past on the main road. About 5 or 6 houses into the neighborhood, I saw more fresh gouges turning into a driveway and sure enough, the Suburban parked tight up behind a house. So I kept moving, proceeding past the house, and found a place to turn around and head back out to the main road where I figured the police will be coming by. Two patrol cars passed right by me as I tried to get their attention, the third one stopped. I told him that if he was looking for a tan Chevy Suburban with no tires, it's right down this street parked behind a house on the right. He said "Thanks!" and got on his radio as he sped off. Within seconds, about 20 police cars converged on the house where they dragged some slug out and charged him with robbing a local bank.
Now, I am generally a pro-LEO kind of guy, however, on that day, I got the distinct impression that they were more interested in just driving fast and making lots of noise instead of using common sense and observation. But then again, it would be a little more difficult to notice gouges and blown tire rubber at 80 or 90 mph...
