You have a problem with artists depicting nudes? Why would someone who posed for an artist be any less of a lady?

You wrote, "What kind of "lady" poses nude for a picture?"
You're kidding, right? Please tell me you're kidding.
Comments like that make my head hurt.
As it happens, the body of work I'm developing for exhibition is focused upon the female nude. Since models are expensive, I go to the Indianapolis Arts Center every Sunday and draw life models, who happen to be men and women of every age, shape, and description. They also happen to be unclothed so that artists don't need to guess at the human form. It would be some surprise to the female models--most of whom I know personally--that they aren't ladies.
Believe it or not, posing nude within an artistic context, as Mrs. Blair did, is a nonsexual act.

No, I;m NOT kidding....I believe in modesty...period.

Good grief.....what about their children and their children's FRIENDS,and others and then their grandchildren seeing them nude? Geesh. Who buys nude paintings of real people anyway???
To: Larry Lucido
You truly are an idiot...I'm talking CURRENTLY.
To: Perdogg
HAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!! Then why isn't EVERYONE nude to praise God?
To: Suzy Quzy
So it's ok to pose nude as long as you died a couple of centuries ago?
To: Suzy Quzy
I answer your question and you reply with an ad hominem?

OK...who are those women?? Were they "ladies"?
To: fragrant abuse
I didn't say that either.
To: Suzy Quzy
If they go around calling people "idiots," they're definitely not ladies.

I did some nude modeling in college. $15 bucks an hour under the table from the art department for three hours a week of standing around in the buff, and it was a great incentive to keep going to the gym.

If you dont think your children are old enough to see it, don't show it to them. I don't think an artistic painting of a naked person is going to hurt anyone. The human body is a beautiful glorious thing. Artistically rendered, even more beautiful. I don't suppose you ever took an art appreciation class or have gone to a good museum without blushing?
