Relatives are hunting for Dianne and Wayne Guay, here with his grandkid and the car the couple was believed to have been driving (above).
The car is a white, late model Mazda.

Sadly, can only think of horrible scenarios here. . .leaving a 4 a.m.; perhaps someone saw them loading there car; or they stopped for gas before leaving town and were followed early morn by someone noticing/wanting early Christmas. . .car/gifts. . .
Surely there is a trail here of some kind; given video cameras etc. . .
That said' perhaps less noxioius scenario in that he had a heart attack and left the road. . .
I feel sorry for this family. . .this is surely a nightmare scenario.
(. . .and odd in a way how 'news'/events mirror in time. . .Think of the family enroute to home post Thanksgiving and got stuck in the snow and family all engaged in search. . .)

[Megan said the family filed a missing-persons report with the Horry County, S.C., police, but no search-and-rescue teams have been activated.(. . .) The family rented a helicopter to do its own 50-mile sweep around Myrtle Beach, said Danny Rodriguez, 38, a son-in-law who called 100 area hospitals and scores of police departments up and down Interstate 95. "This is foul play - or they're in a body of water or in a ditch, or down a hill or in the woods, someplace we can't see them," Megan said.]
Just realized the 'rest of the story' here. . .
Incredible. . .hoping this family is getting the needed assistance by now. . .

Several years ago, a friend's brother did not show up after driving home from work one evening. The family (and LEO) searched his route for over a week. The friend finally found his brother's car and body in a heavily overgrown ditch. All involved had driven by this area numerous times and overlooked the well concealed vehicle.
Prayers for a better outcome in this situation.

Saw a brief segment about this on TV this morning and hoped to follow it to its outcome. Prayers up for the Guay family and positive results in their search.
