Every set of individuals has a set of traditions. Pentecostals, baptists, nondenominational, mormons ... every last group no matter how big or small has traditions that aren't quite biblical. Big deal. I could make the same claim about all other churches that there beliefs don't follow the bible.
Let's not going down that road of "my church is better than yours" junk.

Interesting you mention momonism to justify Catholicism.
Not very discriminating or discerning.
So not following the bible is "no big deal"?
How about not following the U.S. Constitution?
Is that "no big deal" either?
