The Roman Catholic church has some questionable beliefs that are based on tradition, not on the bible, and in fact run exactly counter to the bible. Questioning false beliefs is not bigotry. I was raised Roman Catholic, went to Catholic School and was an alter boy. I read and studied the bible for myself and am no longer a Catholic.
Belief in Christ is the basis of Christianity.
You will notice I did indeed refer to Mel as a Christian, did I not? I base that on his faith in Christ, nothing else, and I defend him on that basis alone.

We had to wait 2000 years till you were born to tell us who God is?
You were an altar boy and say Catholics don't believe in Jesus Christ????? Please tell me what the duties of an altar boy are during Mass.

Are you some born again type? Never understood nor desire to know that stuff. I never heard of born again in the bible. Catholics luckily are born at Baptism so we are cradle to grave Christian or Catholic whatever you call it. It is a shame that you chose fake over substance, but that is your chose no big deal to me. When you see all the Catholics going to Heaven I hope you don't regret your decision.

""The Roman Catholic church has some questionable beliefs that are based on tradition""
Every set of individuals has a set of traditions. Pentecostals, baptists, nondenominational, mormons ... every last group no matter how big or small has traditions that aren't quite biblical. Big deal. I could make the same claim about all other churches that there beliefs don't follow the bible.
Let's not going down that road of "my church is better than yours" junk.
