I don't really...I just get irritated when I see people trying to tell me that knitting is a kooky leftwing lady activity...

I just finished knitting hubby a pair of socks that I even spun the wool for. He is very happy with them.

Wow... you're up there with the Yarn Harlot, then. I've never done socks; I inherited my mother's distaste for turning the heel, I guess. :)

You rock! I always chuckle when I think of the old "Cheers" episode when Diane gives Sam "just a scarf" for Christmas. He doesn't get it. He thinks it's a dumb gift. Of course, she has to explain:

"I wanted to match the blue of your eyes EXACTLY, so I consulted a colorist! I took classes to LEARN how to knit! I dyed and spun the raw wool myself! I turned down EVERY holiday party invitation to finish it on time!"

Personally? I would've stabbed him with my knitting needles, LOL!

That is so cool! I'm trying to teach myself to knit & I love it. Looking forward to the day the work will resemble something. LOL.

KAC,
I only have a drop spindle, but did some nice merino roving that I haven't knit up yet. I love making socks. It's medicinal. I prefer a short row heel. How about you?
I like Nancy Bush stuff, too. Have you ever bought any of her yarns? I want to try some.
