Rush said in his first five minutes today that Bush told Bolton that he would fight for him, but that Bolton himself, insisted on the resignation.

I have nothing to verify that with yet, but it is consistent with Bush's character, so rings true.

That would make it unlikely that Bolton would accept a recess appointment without pay.

I wrote in a previous post that I don't blame either one of them for chucking this. And I don't. Unlike the ones around here that we know ad nauseum. The reason you're sick of them, owf, is because they are absolutely sickening. Which I think they KNOW, and get some kind of sick thrill from being sickening against the President and those who respect him.
