Just a heads up to those who do home medical care esp with those with pulomonary issues.
We could not figure out why lung issues started, no infection.
We have been self sufficiant after training (on going and many decades) and Doctors to support us to do home health care.
However this last week with neb treatments ect ect..the lungs are really junky.
Well the air is stagnent. So if others are having issues we just want to remind them to sit up often (our situtation being quad is no easy but ya do what you need to) or what ever therapy one uses to keep lungs clear.
Hope we can help by letting others know this info. With out going into detail if you have noticed significant "crappy lungs" check with your doc of course but know your not alone. We are working our tail ends off getting up with the barrior free lift to sit and then lay down often to move, have trach and such but due to luck and one heck of a cough normally don't see this much lung junk. I just hope we can help others who have to move often to keep lungs clear and have also noticed "crappy" lung issues for no "infectious" reason this past week here in the PNW. Always check with your Doc and make sure there is no infection present. Let us know if you too are dealing with unusual lung issues due to the stagnent air. Hope all is well, however with us a few prayers will work, as the round a clock work is double time with the air being stagnent. Reason for the vanity is to support others and remind them to keep the required therapy up to keep the lungs clear as if there was an infection. We also want to hear from others if they are being affected by the stagnent air conditions. Thank and God Bless King Vanity
Our respite/nurse care will be back Monday (very fortunate to have in home pro care) but yes I am tired, gonna try for a quick nap when he gets back to prone and dozes for a bit.
Prayers up for the darn air flow to get a going.
"Stagnent"?
As in weather.
No air is flowing.
Sorry as he just dozed off for a few zzz's and I gotta sleep while he does.....and then move him again soon.
Just doing a little leg pulling.
