Yer making my mouth water, and I can smell the fudge right now! I bought some Ghiradelli DARK chocolate chips the other day. It used to be called Double Chocolate, but now it's called 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate. It makes awesome fudge!! I try to get it when it's on sale, 2/$5 because it's usually around $3.50 a bag! It beats Hershey or Toll House chips hands down!!

I went to the local cake and candy crafts store the other day and got some dark chocolate for making the kids some candy for Christmas. I can't even eat Hershey's chocolate anymore, even the Special Dark stuff, because it just tastes waxy compared to the homemade stuff. If you can't find the candy melting wafers locally, I know you can get them online, because I was looking for the sugar free version once, and found a place that sells all of it; the candy, the molds, the rice krispy stuff you can put in the chocolate, the peppermint crunchies, all of it! I found some new peppermint crunch stuff the other day. It is white, and has the consistency of the inside of malted milk balls. The older version was red and green, and is festive looking, especially in the melted white candy, but that stuff was too hard on the teeth! Maybe the company that makes the white stuff will bring out a red/green version next year!

This year I'm going to do a dark chocolate cherry batch... with those marvelous dried cherries that are so popular this year.

oh boy. I gained a pound just thinking about it...
