I never saw "Ali McBeal". I always see Peter McNichol as the simpering, then threatening, Museum guy in Ghostbusters II.

Yesterday, I went to Walmart and was checking myself out. (I always check myself out since the last time I went to a checker and his BO nearly knocked my unconscious). Anyway, I speedily checked myself out, including entering and weighing produce and as I was loading up, the "observer" said "Hey, you're pretty good at checking yourself out!" I said "Thank you...if my boys were here, we'd be even faster...they load up the cart as I'm scanning." She smiled and then I asked "Hey...are people pretty honest with these things?" And she said that amazingly, people are incredibly honest...rarely do they have anyone try to steal.
It made me feel encouraged. Shouldn't surprise me, I guess...leastwise not in Oklahoma where you know I have a pretty high opinion of the citizenry anyways...but it did make me feel good.

He had to leave that show to film "24"; on "Numbers" they explained the character's absence by having him go off to prepare for a flight on the space shuttle!
