Ok...it seems we are on the very northern edge of what got hit the hardest...Becky may actually be in the part that did get hit hard...and she has all those trees! Have you heard anything from her in the horse thread? I haven't had a chance to look.

Here are some pictures...this is the limb that broke right when I posted earlier. It hit the gutter and didn't cause a bit of damage...it actually got caught on one the pillars of the tree fort and it's holding it up and keeping it from breaking more and hitting the fence.

This is what the ice looked like on the limbs at midday. Another wave of freezing rain came through after I took this picture, so there's about half as much more on the limbs now...they're really sagging, but holding up so far...

OI!!! Last time we here onthe Tx coast had a storm like that was back in '96 or so. Knocked out power lines and everything...trees bent over...

ya mean we got sumpin like that heading our way?!

the maple in our front yard has seen better days...

our birch is hatin' it...

it's gotten werse since these photos... the mulberry tree in the front yard has lost two large limbs...

I was just standing out on the porch... the silence was broken about every 30 seconds by the sound of trees snapping out in the timber...

already cleared three trees off'n the lane... no doubt there will be more tomorrow...
