Mmmm. Peppermint! Hood Ice Cream does a special Christmas ice cream that's chocolate with peppermint chunks in it. YUM!

I like to pour chocolate syrup on mine.

This is outrageously good stuff...extremely rich. Do you have a Donvier (or the like?) If so, here's the recipe.

3 Eggs
2 Cups Milk
1 Cup Sugar
2 Cups Cream
1 tsp Vanilla
5 or 6 candy canes, chunked up in a food processor
1/8 tsp mint extract
Food coloring if desired. I used a bit of red.

Beat together the eggs and milk until smooth, then beat in the sugar and heat the mixture on low heat until it coats the spoon smoothly (about 10 minutes). Allow to cool (I put mine in the fridge over night). Mix in cream, vanilla, mint, chopped candy canes and food coloring, pour into maker and proceed per maker's directions (allow space for the ice cream to expand.)
