You Are a Losing Lottery Ticket!
Full of hope and promise.
But in the end, a cheap letdown.

Your Linguistic Profile:
65% General American English
15% Upper Midwestern
5% Dixie
5% Midwestern
5% Yankee
What Kind of American English Do You Speak?

Vocabuary aside, I sound like a redneck more than half the time.

I know why I got such a high Yankee rating! It wasn't til we moved up to New Jersey that I'd ever heard of Devil's Night, or found out what a cruller and a rotary were. But to be honest on the survey, I had to admit that I now know what they are.

Messed me up good, it did!

That's the thing... Marine coastal birds aren't migratory. The V-formation thing is a migrating habit.

Which brings me back to why I took the picture. Because I know all that, and yet I saw these birds that look like gulls flying in formation.

I've picked up influences from all over...

Except the Midwest, it seems.

You make a good puppet.

Well the socks are more useful than a losing lottery ticket!

You May Be a Bit Borderline...
Your mood swings make a roller coaster look tame!
When you're up, you're a little bit crazy...
And when you're down, your whole world is crashing
Scary thing is, these moods can change by the minute!
What Personality Disorder Are You?

Yeeeeeeeeee-Haaaaaaaaah!

Well... I read it a little different. I've ~heard~ some of those expressions before, like 'cruller' and 'rotary', but I don't use them. And they're not really used where I live.

Like the "pop" question, I know they're called "sodas" and "cokes" (even when not coca-cola, that's the ringer...) elsewhere. But it was "pop" when I was a kid. Though... the term "soda" seems to be generally taking over now, though the homogenization of all things.

Ha! I like this quiz!

You Are a Christmas Sweater!
Over the top, colorful, and totally flashy.
You're not afraid to be a little tacky.

But those birds aren't carrying any coconuts.

How did you find out about it???

Local talk radio guy was talking about it. ACLU says it's his "right" to do that.

Of course the problem is that he has video of his um technique on YouTube.

And apparently it shows all of his...um...painting utensils.

You gotta unnerstand we're a pretty conservative county. Luke's school is celebrating Christmas and periodically invites the children's pastors to come for breakfast.

I'd grown up saying "You wanna go get a coke?, or even more humorous, "What kind of coke you want?" But nowadays, I'm more likely to ask someone if they want a soda, only so I don't confuse the heck out of them.
