Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Yes. Yes, there is.
I'm probably being just a little judgmental though ;-)
You?!? Never! *<;~)
To be is to doSocrates.
To do is to beJean-Paul Sartre.
Do be do be doFrank Sinatra.
Do you like any of that kind of music, though? Or do you consider *all* of it creepy?
I know, I regularly win "Hobbit Hole Most Nonjudgmental" awards, don't I?
Uh, I guess Dayquil doesn't mix so well with Diet Dr Pepper. I feel funky.
Most of it just puts me to sleep. Sinatra's the only one I really find creepy though. I like stuff I can clean bathrooms or code to. Like Eurobeat music.
Well...ookay. Eurobeat? Is that a pretty word for techno?
I was havin' a hard time picturing, say, Perry Como as creepy.
I don't quite think so. It's a little less funky than techno. More lyrical, less hip-hop.
Perry Cuomo is just a quick cure for insomnia. Not creepy.
'Zat a santa hat smilie?
That's what I was tryin' for.
Yeah, they were dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted
Play that funky music white boy girl
Play that funky music right...
(one of Sinatra's best...)
Como - no "u".
Heh...ever seen "Blast from the Past"? Got me thinking about the scene in the car where they're listening to Perry Como and he says "This is the part where it *really* gets going!" and the gal character (don't remember her name) just kinda rolls her eyes.
Lovely.
Nice how they make the wind all pretty and purple, isn't it?
Can't you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Yeah, that was a cute movie. So was the dude ;-)
Then it'd be a rainbow, and well, I'm going there.
Alicia Silverstone. That's a fun movie.
"What kind of wife are you looking for?"
"Well, one that's not a mutant."
Not to mention the fact of that color would really clash with the pink used for ice on the radars.
Ungh.
